Come and be part of a group who want to explore what Acting is and how you can bring yourself to the characters in a play or script. It can be daunting to step out of your comfort zone but it can also be liberating. All we ask is that you come along with an open mind and a generous spirit and see whether it's for you.
At the Actors Hut we explore acting by being in the moment and learning more about who you are in those moments and what you have to offer.
We are currently running regular workshops at St John's Methodist Church in Whitley Bay. See workshop details below and register your interest from our Contacts page.
"Had a great experience at first workshop with Cristina. Any nerves soon subsided, as the group quickly bonded, and was a lot of fun. I think it's going to give me a great creative outlet, just for me, away from the stresses of work and 'real life' which is exactly what I was looking for. Look forward to next session!!" Helen B
"... I can honestly say after walking into the room the atmosphere was a lovely / warm welcome by everyone. Cristina is a very knowledgeable person when it comes to acting, she's very understanding of me and she listens to everything I have to say and she takes it in. Her lessons are mixed with fun and laughter!" Kristian H
"I am buzzing with creativity and enjoyed it so very much. You are a wonderful and creatively infectious teacher. Definitely up for more. It was a wonderful learning experience" Helen C-W
Adult Learner Acting Workshops
Dates: 1st; 8th; 15th; 22nd and 29th April + 6th May
@ 6:45-8:45pm
These workshops are for anyone who has always wanted to try acting and for those who want to continue to practice their skills. We will learn from each other and gain an understanding of what acting is or means to us. We will work on different acting techniques primarily using improvisation and script analysis, to lift the text off the page for character development and storytelling.
